 Hi,

 sorry for the late reply. I committed it in r37875 with the following
 changes:

  * Renamed "variant" to "platform" as these changes should only be done on
 darwin systems.
  * Renamed "openmaintainer" to "nomaintainer", would you like to become
 [http://guide.macports.org/#development.creating-portfile maintainer] for
 this port?

 If you don't like any of these changes just reopen the ticket and tell me.
