 Hmm, something is iffy with your install-info...

 So where's that install-info binary from? What's the output of
 {{{
 sudo port provides /opt/local/bin/install-info
 }}}

 What happen's if you move install-info out of the way? I.e.
 {{{
 sudo mv /opt/local/sbin/install-info /opt/local/sbin/install-info-away
 }}}
 and then try to install aspell?
