 You can set `distname` in order to fetch a tarball named something other
 than `${name}-${version}`. See [http://guide.macports.org/ the guide].

 Usually, new versions of ports simply replace old versions unless there is
 a specific reason to keep the old version around. For example, there might
 be dependent ports that don't work with the new version.
