 The wxMac port of wxWidgets has some string code which is not thread safe,
 that causes random crashes for multi-threaded programs trying to access
 files...

 There's a patch for wxWidgets 2.8.7 that fixes the issue, and makes
 programs
 like Code::Blocks not crash (hopefully it'll be added to 2.8.8 or
 something)
