Can you please update your OS to the latest version? That's 10.4.11 plus
the latest security update, QuickTime update, etc.
I'm not exactly sure what to do with this bug, since I don't use python,
gramps, or even a PowerPC Mac anymore.
Could the crash be related to a corrupt font on your system?
Can you give me a reproduction recipe for the problem -- what do I need to
do on my system to cause the error to occur? Can you cause the error
without using python?
A [browser:trunk/dports/print/freetype/files/patch-modules.cfg.diff at 23422
patch] does get applied to the freetype source when it's being built, but
no patch files end up in /opt/local as a result. This is normal.
If the gramps port is out of date, you should file a ticket requesting it
be updated (if a ticket does not already exist for that request).
If you can remember the specific dependency problems you encountered you
should report these as separate bugs since they should be fixed as well.
Having both MacPorts and Fink installed at the same time is not supported
or recommended.
