 built this (using a local port repository) and confirmed it's functional.

 Thanks for the diff files and working to make sure 0.2.8-RC2 works
 correctly.  However, I prefer to keep the port at the latest stable
 version.  As soon as 0.2.8 is officially released I'll work to update the
 port incorporating your diffs.

 Regarding GNS3, if you have been able to get that working correctly, I
 would encourage you to make a port of it.  I have heard that a port of
 dynagen is possibly in the works and once 0.2.8 is released having GNS3
 working as a port would be great for everyone.
