 After running
 {{{
 sudo port install finch
 }}}
  on a new machine with xcode 3.1.1 and the latest version of XQuartz, I
 received an error remarking that GLib 2.0 is required to finish building
 finch.  I ran
 {{{
 sudo port install glib2
 }}}
  and then the previous command again with no errors.
