 I am sorry that I never commented on this ticket.[[BR]]
 I don't know how I missed it.

 openjpeg tries to install as the same user and group who installed
 MacPorts (not the person running the port command).[[BR]]
 Unless MacPorts was installed with the arguments --with-install-user=...
 and --with-install-group=...,[[BR]]
 This would be the root user and admin group.

 If my assessment is wrong, and you did in fact install MacPorts as a non-
 root user, please reopen the ticket.[[BR]]
 I will reply faster this time.
