 FYI, it built two-level but only if you were running trunk, but no on 1.6
 (due to trunk setting MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET); I fixed this in r42053 by
 basically copying how trunk sets MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET.
