Comment(by mcalhoun at macports.org):

 May I then suggest that if version 5.8 is desired, then have ghc use
 ${prefix}/bin/perl5.8.[[BR]]
 If #16830 goes to plan, this should remain even after the transition to
 perl5 is complete.
