 You don't need to actually use X11, just have it running; since you're
 running 10.5, it should all happen automatically, if your DISPLAY is set
 to something like {{{/tmp/launch-l4RvGv/:0}}}, otherwise just try
 launching /Applications/Utilities/X11.app then try building ddd again.  It
 appears that the build process for ddd queries the X11 server, hence this
 need to have it available.
