Comment:

 The wiki page InstallingMacPorts is probably very out of date, having been
 replaced by both [http://www.macports.org/install.php install.php] and
 [http://guide.macports.org/#installing the Guide], both of which have
 correct information regarding $DISPLAY. It would be great if someone could
 compare InstallingMacPorts with those two other documents and see if
 anything is missing from the newer documents. If not, InstallingMacPorts
 can be deleted and replaced with a pointer to those other documents.

 This may also fall under the scope of #15392.
