 It seems that the configure patch is no longer necessary, as it's now
 generated with autoconf 2.63 which handles universal endianness correctly.
 But the 32/64-bit problems seem to be an upstream bug.

 The easiest fix at this point is probably an ed script applied to
 config.h/glibconfig.h in post-configure, like toby has been using in e.g.
 r42691.
