 Attempting to install glib1 using the universal variant (sudo port install
 glib1 +universal) results in the following build error:

 ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture ppc
 collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
 lipo: can't open input file: /var/tmp//ccqLfmL6.out (No such file or
 directory)
 }}}
