I'm not a developer, but if I interpret the autoconf file correctly (see
below), then it does not expect to find lwres/netdb.h on OS X, in which
case it would just proceed. But having installed BIND, whose lwres library
on darwin seems to lack a function (lwres_gethostbyname_r) found on other
systems, it complains.
