 I also have this problem -- The first line of /opt/local/libexec/git-core
 /git-svn refers explicitly to /usr/bin/perl, which is what I think is the
 cause.

 I'm running MacPorts 1.600.

 Incidentally, I have just reinstalled MacPorts by removing /opt and
 starting from the MacPorts disk image.  The only command I typed before I
 got the symptom this ticket reports was:

 sudo port install git-core @1.6.0.2_0+bash_completion+doc+gitweb+svn
 }}}
