 OK, did the following:


 {{{
 cd /opt/macports/trunk
 rm -rf base
 svn update
 make
 sudo make install
 }}}

 svn says I am at r40825.
 Then

 {{{
 sudo port -d upgrade gimp
 }}}

 gives exactly the same error as I reported above when trying to resolve
 dependency on XFree86.

 What am I doing wrong?
