#16887: gimp 2.6.1 fails to build in Leopard or Tiger

 GIMP 2.6.1 failed to build in Tiger, but that was mainly because of
 dependency failures, each of which have been reported.

 However, GIMP 2.6.1 failed to build on my Leopard machine, and it is the
 GIMP package that is failing.

 Following is the bottom part of the error message I'm getting:
 Undefined symbols:
   "_poppler_page_render_to_pixbuf", referenced from:
       _get_thumbnail in file_pdf-file-pdf.o
       _run in file_pdf-file-pdf.o
 ld: symbol(s) not found
 collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
 make[3]: *** [file-pdf] Error 1
 make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
 make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
 make: *** [all] Error 2

 I searched for and could not find a matching bug.
