Comment:

 This is actually a problem installing expat. I'm assigning the ticket to
 that port's maintainer.

 This looks like an Xcode problem. What version do you have installed? Make
 sure you have the [http://developer.apple.com/technology/xcode.html latest
 version] installed which is currently 3.1.1 for Leopard (which you appear
 to have).
