 There is a proposed update to SuiteSparse (#15054), which I would like
 to[[BR]]
 commit (maintainer timeout).

 Unfortunately, it breaks octave but only a little.[[BR]]
 Attached is a proposed solution (as well as minor upgrade).[[BR]]
 If approved, I could commit the change at the same time as the SuiteSparse
 update.[[BR]]
 That way, octave would never be broken.
