 Actually I submitted this bug report prematurely. Turns out it was
 something wierd going on probably with the hardware. When I tried
 compiling again this bug did not appear. Never experienced this kind of
 bug before though. Happened quite a number of times and each time
 restarting the build process seemed to solve the problem.
