 I just installed ncview and received an error from MacPorts during the
 installation. I have attached the entire error message below. After adding
 the required lines to ~/.bashrc I haven't had any problems, so I don't
 know if this is a real bug.

 The MacPorts X11 app-defaults directory is located at:

         /opt/local/lib/X11/app-defaults

 Therefore, you must set the XFILESEARCHPATH environment variable to your
 ~/.profile for
 your X11 environment to find the MacPorts app-defaults directory:

         export XFILESEARCHPATH=/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-
 defaults/%N:/opt/local/lib/X11/app-defaults/%N
