Comment:

 This is the right place to ask for new ports, though things usually go
 quicker if you can write the portfile and attach it to the ticket. The
 [http://guide.macports.org/ Guide] is a good place to learn how to write
 ports, as is looking at some of the existing ports.

 I added a port for xsel in r39925 and it seemed to work in brief testing
 on Mac OS X 10.4.11 on Intel. Let me know if you need anything else.
