 still not working for me on santa rosa macbook with Tcl 8.5.4_0 on 10.5.4:

 HPING localhost (lo0 127.0.0.1): S set, 40 headers + 0 data bytes
 [send_ip] sendto: Invalid argument

 FYI: i can't reopen my own ticket for some reason
