 I attached version 5 of my portfile and considered all your suggestions:

 (1) Now there is a variant "texlive"

 (2) No caps in the portname any more

 Additionally, if variant "HEAD" is not selected, the revision 168 of
 TeXworks (2008-09-26) gets installed.
 To make that possible, it was necessary for me to edit the portfile in
 some small details.
