Comment:

 Glad to hear that it works.  Note that we've integrated some patches into
 later pythons to avoid this so a .pydistutils.cfg won't get in the way for
 2.5 and later (eventually those patches will make their way into python
 itself, see #9831 and [http://bugs.python.org/issue1180 python issue
 1180]).
