 Unfortunately, I do not have a 10.4 machine to work with, so you may have
 to bear with me to track down the problem.

 Just to rule out the usual suspects:
   * You're running the latest XCode for 10.4?
   * You're running the latest MacPorts (port selfupdate)?
   * All you MacPorts packages are up to date (port upgrade outdated)?

 If the answers to all these questions are yes, could you please attach the
 output of:
 {{{
 port clean qt4-mac; port -d install qt4-mac > output.log
 }}}

 From the output provided earlier, I do not see any obvious errors, so
 maybe the extra information[[BR]]
 will help.
