Comment:

 The failing port is not "xorg" but "xterm", as evidenced by the fact that
 the failure occurred after the line "--->  Building xterm"

 I just experienced the issue as well on Mac OS X 10.4.11 Intel, Xcode 2.5,
 MacPorts 1.7.1. I too was trying to install "xorg" originally.
