 To add the +server variant to an existing mysql5 install:

 {{{
 sudo port -nf upgrade mysql5 +server
 }}}

 Note: "-server" __deselects__ the server variant (which has no effect
 since it's deselected by default). "+server" __selects__ the server
 variant.
