Comment:

 I'd say sure, but as I'm back here trying to do `info libusb-legacy` on
 it, I got a warning that my portindex was corrupted.  It seems that this
 was the problem as my original botched portfile is not causing the same
 error after rerunning portindex.

 I'll go ahead and put this as worksforme.
