Comment:

 6 months is a long time to expect a user to deal with such a workaround,
 and the Snow Leopard problem (which would have to be fixed like it was in
 #19997) just adds to it.

 I also see the PHP team is readying the release of 5.2.11 so there will
 still be new releases of php 5.2.x.

 Sounds like I should make a php52 port after all.
