 Applying that patch enables the build to go further but then it fails with
 the error:

 To find the necessary bits, look in setup.py in detect_modules() for the
 module's name.

 I've attached the full build log and a patch that updates the Portfile to
 apply the upstream patch and runs autoreconf to rebuild configure.
