 Yes, 1.8.  I also reinstalled XCode 3.2, rebooted, verified disk, fixed
 permissions.
 Interestingly when I take csup out of the ports tree it gets stuck at
 GCC40.  In fact
 when I select any port that makes reference to configure.cc_archflags it
 has the same error.
 I guess it must be be my install of 10.6 that is bad...

 You can mark this ticket as completed.  If I find out what went wrong I
 will post it here...
