 I've just downloaded macports on my machines (Macbook Mac OS X 10.5.8) and
 when i try to install gnuplot it starts to install things I already have
 on my computer.

  I notice this when port was fetching pearl 5.5.9 and i already got
 it!!!... I even opened a new tab terminal and checked myself...
