 Sorry for being illiterate, but I am new to Mac and macports. The help on
 patches says that I should go to the directory containing the file to be
 patched, and then run the command to apply the patch and the patchfile
 should know what file to fix. I am not sure which directory contains the
 problem file. Could someone please explain to me how to apply this patch?

 I tried to run the patch in /opt/local/var/macports/

 and it asked me a file name.

 Also, I am not sure if this is my problem, since I do not get the same
 error as listed above, the build just hangs, however when I search for a
 fix to that problem I am always redirected to this patch.
