 Thanks.  Yes, I had jbigkit installed, and deactivating it allowed it to
 build.
 As a sidenote, I didn't have to reactivate jbigkit.  I was doing an update
 outdated, and, after installing tiff, it computed dependencies for an
 upgrade to ImageMagick (I had the +jbig variant) so before it did that
 upgrade it reactivated jbigkit.
