 Browsing through {{{atlas-3.8.3/CONFIG/src/SpewMakeInc.c}}} (search for
 THREADS) it looks like {{{libptcblas.a}}} and {{{libptf77blas.a}}} are
 only built on SMP machines, but not on single core machines like my G4
 PowerBook.
