 Maybe it's Porticus which is fooling me! On the command line building of
 blackbox succeeded, Leopard, 10.5.8. The output of the port command is:

   expat @2.0.1_0 (active)
   libiconv @1.13_0 (active)
   Xft2 @2.1.14_0 (active)
   xorg-libXext @1.1.1_0 (active)

 I did not choose any "qualifiers" for a particular variant. I think the
 command line is my tool – and an option to save some disk space!
