 Unfortunately I've found out in the past that the author doesn't like to
 include proper handling of DESTDIR and PREFIX in Makefile.PL as well, so
 I'm with you and have no problem patching this out by hand. I'll still
 post the patch to upstream if done. Thanks for reporting!
