Comment:

 python24 +universal (x86_64/i386) still fails with the
 [attachment:python24-universal-x86_64-i386.txt same error originally
 reported], so I don't accept a resolution of "worksforme". (If it really
 does work for you, please post your complete build log so I can compare it
 with mine.)
