 Hello,
 on MacPorts version 1.6 and 1.7 one has to set
 {{{
 portarchivemode=yes
 }}}

 in order for the option to work.

 This is inconsistent with all other options in macports.conf.
 It should be
 {{{
 portarchivemode yes
 }}}
