 I tried the FAQ

 sudo port sync
 sudo port clean cdparanoia
 sudo port install cdparanoia

 get the same error.

 --->  Fetching cdparanoia
 --->  Verifying checksum(s) for cdparanoia
 Error: Checksum (md5) mismatch for cdparanoia-0.9.8.tar.gz
 Error: Target org.macports.checksum returned: Unable to verify file
 checksums
 Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.

 Am a newbie to mac. how are u able to checksum match ?
