 I wanted to try some newer version of the SDL suite, composed of main lib,
 image, ttf, mixer and net.

 However with macports installed library paths are ordered so that macport
 include and lib directory are checked first; thus when compiling, the
 makefile always chooses the macport install of SDL.

 Is it possible to have a SDL-devel port? In this was developers could test
 out the new sdl library (which even if beta has good outcomes) and have
 the path set up easily, like it's always done with macports.
