 thanks for the response, but I've still got an issue when doing the above
 command :

 Hunk #2 FAILED at 24.
 Hunk #3 FAILED at 37.
 3 out of 3 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file
 /opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/release/ports/databases/db46/Portfile.rej

 :/
 I'm still confused.
