 After all the updates, the drawing program xfig, that depends on netpbm,
 Xaw3d, libpng, jpeg, and zlib gives a bus error message and terminates.
 Since development on xfig was frozen more than a year ago, I'm thinking
 something new in the other packages that is causing this problem.
