 Right now I do, this is on a fresh install and I was following the method
 which used to work with no problems, but now it seems there is a catch-22:

 `make install` in base runs commands now which rely on
 /opt/local/etc/macports/sources.conf being correct, but
 /opt/local/Makefile doesn't use sed to alter
 /opt/local/etc/macports/sources.conf until after `make install` from bas
 has finished successfully, which it never does.

 I can try editing /opt/local/base/doc/sources.conf, but that is less than
 ideal since installing straight from an svn checkout used to work and
 doesn't work anymore.
