 uhm... that's not consistent.  Adding -L${x11prefix}/lib to ldflags should
 not cause it to NOT link with the X11libs.

 You shouldn't be doing that dflags append in the check for Xplugin.h.
 It's done in the check for gl.pc in the patch I sent you above.
