 gv builds fine, but when I try to launch it I get the following error
 message:

 Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "/tmp
 /launch-FgEo1k/:0".
 Error: attempt to add non-widget child "fileButton" to parent "control"
 which supports only widgets

 ggv also builds fine, but I get a similar error message when I try to
 launch it:

 Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "/tmp
 /launch-FgEo1k/:0".
 Xlib:  extension "RANDR" missing on display "/tmp/launch-FgEo1k/:0".
 Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "/tmp
 /launch-FgEo1k/:0".
 Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "/tmp
 /launch-FgEo1k/:0".
 Xlib:  extension "Generic Event Extension" missing on display "/tmp
 /launch-FgEo1k/:0".
