 I had a look into it and would say it can be changed[[BR]]
   a. easy - if you say the mac version is >= (greater or eaqual) to the
 required version or
   b. complicated - if you have to maintain the mac-version for every
 package that test against it.

 My [http://www.web-dreamer.de/blog/2009/02/ports-problem-install-a-python-
 port-macosx_deployment_target.html workaround] was quite easy, i just
 edited the .plist which has the version stored in it.
