 Yes I have checked and rechecked the config file, and I am not attempting
 to access it from outside the local network, but it does not seem to
 recognise that...
 strange, because thunderbird can connect to leafnode on the same machine,
 and I can connect to it from slrn on a machine on the local network, but
 not on the same machine
